Who doesn't love a burger?  There are so many different kinds to suit anyone's taste.

You can have a beef burger or a turkey burger.  You can have cheese or no cheese.  You can even have a veggie burger.

That's not even bringing the toppings into the conversation yet.  The regular toppings are always in the mix at these places, but the burger game has gone way beyond special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun.  (You sung that, didn't you?  No judgement.)

I have been to all of these New Hampshire burger locations except for one of them and I can say, without hesitation, that my taste buds and my belly were so happy.

Here they are in no particular order:

LEXIE'S in Dover, Epping, Exeter and Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Lexie's was actually named the best burger place in all of New Hampshire by Reader's Digest.  I have to say, they aren't wrong, it is the best.

You even get to color at Lexie's.  How can you hate it?

Hop + Grind, Durham

How genius is it of local celebrity chef, Bobby Marcotte, to open a burger joint in the college town of Durham, NH?  Students and their families will spend their tuition money just to get their hands on one of these bad boys.

The Goat - Hampton and Manchester

The Goat, I think, is best known for the whole vibe of the place.  If you are coming to and from a concert and you just want a cool place to hang, the Goat is it.  Perfect locations for both Manchester and Portsmouth.

Their menu is pub food, all really great and their burgers always hit the spot.  Especially after a couple beers.

HotMess Poutine - Rochester

HotMess Poutine is the only place that I haven't tried yet.  It's a food truck located in Rochester, mostly.  The reviews about their poutine are from locals who know the difference.  Their burgers, I'm told, are just as good.

Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery, Raymond, NH
