30-Year-Old Store at The Maine Mall in South Portland Set For Expansion
Some people think that the only two certain things in life are death and taxes. You could probably add another one to the list. There will always be stores opening and closing at the Maine Mall in South Portland.
Over the last several years, the Maine Mall has focused on bringing in stores and brands that haven't opened in the state prior.
Some of the most recent additions including Box Lunch, Miniso, Go Playland as well as Team Spirit.
The Maine Mall is set to do it again but this time the new addition to the shopping center will come with some familiar branding.
LIDS Locker Room Set to Open At The Maine Mall in South Portland
Originally opening in 1994, Lids is one of the longest-running stores at the Maine Mall. Across the country, they've started expanding their footprint with a new concept called LIDS Locker Room.
The original Lids focuses almost exclusively on hats, caps and anything else you can wear on your head.
Lids Locker room expands on that concept to include a much larger assortment of official apparel. That will include jerseys, shirts, hoodies, collectibles and more.
Lids Locker Room has been opening stores across the country and the Maine Mall appears to be next. The store will open next to Miniso and Newbury Comics in the old Sears wing.
Starbucks Set to Return to The Maine Mall in South Portland
Listed as coming soon on the Maine Mall website, Starbucks appears ready for a return to the largest shopping mall in the state.
All the dominoes seem to be in order for that return, including the former space Starbucks called home suddenly becoming vacant again.
Starbucks will return to the space next to LIDS and Aeropostale as an extension of the food court.
