
One Dunkin’ in Portland, Maine, Set to Close Temporarily
As America and Maine continues to run on Dunkin', there's better some pretty obvious changes to Dunkin' locations in recent years.
One of the key and most obvious changes has been dropping donuts from their name and signage.
But both inside and outside Dunkin' restaurants, there's been other substantial changes that conform with how Dunkin' operates as a business now.
One Portland, Maine, location of Dunkin' needs to get up to speed on some of those changes with a plan to close temporarily.
Dunkin' at One City Center in Portland, Maine, Will Undergo Some Renovations
Some in the city call it the hidden Dunkin', a location tucked away in the food court of One City Center.
That location alerted regular customers that they would be shutting down operations on Tuesday, January 6 at 2pm with a plan to reopen a little over a week later on Friday, January 16 for full operations at 530am.
It will be a slight jolt for regular visitors to the One City Center Dunkin' as the next closest Dunkin' can be found at 191 Marginal Way.
Dunkin' at One City Center in Portland, Maine, Becoming 'Next-Gen' Location
When the Dunkin' reopens at the One City Center food court, it should be a full 'next-gen' location of the chain.
You've likely come across 'next-gen' locations across Maine which include digital kiosks for ordering, a dedicated mobile order pickup area as well as a dedicated tap system for some of Dunkin's cold drink offerings.
There will also be some streamlined improvements for staff behind the counter to allow for more efficient service.
