Corsetti’s in Westbrook, Maine, Abruptly Closes

For those that regularly travel down Route 302 from Westbrook to Windham, there are a handful of places that standout as landmarks.

One of them happens to be a restaurant. That restaurant would be Corsetti's.

Corsetti's has been around for more than five decades, originally opening in 1974. The restaurant and convenience store has served generations of locals and many who pass through looking for an Italian sandwich, pizza or some really great baked treats.

The business has had its ups and downs over the years and based on a small sign taped to the front entrance, appears to have thrown in the towel. At least for now.

Corsetti's Abruptly Closes in Westbrook, Maine. Is it Gone For Good?

As recently as August 30, Corsetti's was posting on social media about their specials and reasons to visit the restaurant and convenience store.

But as of September 1, there was a small sign at the front entrance informing people that Corsetti's had closed for business.

Peering inside the store, shelves look half-stocked and coolers appear to be turned off indicating that Corsetti's will be closed for the foreseeable future.

After reaching out, Corsetti's responded by stating they hope to reopen in the future after one of the ownership partners works out a plan to do so.

Brookside Food and Drink in Westbrook, Maine, Has Also Closed

Right next door to Corsetti's has been a nice neighborhood tavern called Brookside Food and Drink.

Several people on social media mentioned that the small tavern closed several days ago leading to speculation Corsetti's would also be closing.

Like Corsetti's, there has been no announcement on social media that Brookside is closed permanenrly.

Corsetti's in Windham, Maine, Will Continue Operations As Normal

While the Westbrook, Maine, location of Corsetti's appears to be permanently closed, Corsetti's Market in Windham, Maine, will continue operations as normal.

Corsetti's Windham has posted regularly, including their daily specials, and does not appear to be affected by the Westbrook closure.
