The Food Network has taken a lot of successful chefs and turned them into celebrities.

Individuals like Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay are literal household names whether people watch television or not.

One of Food Network's first signature shows was Iron Chef America. The show would pit a culinary superstar against a challenger as both chefs deliver a panel of judges a multi-course meal.

Those superstar chefs came to be known as Iron Chefs and that honor was considered prestigious.

One of those well-known Iron Chefs was named Jose Garces.

Garces has still been competing on television at a lesser degree including a pair of appearances on Tournament of Champions hosted by Guy Fieri.

But Garces' move to Maine doesn't mean retirement for the Iron Chef. Instead, he's opened a studio in Biddeford, Maine, that will offer visitors a different look at the culinary wizard.
