It's not the lit-up sign that still shines on Route One in Portsmouth. But it's still a great find if you are a fan of the 'Thar She Blows' restaurant that was open for more than 50 years, but sadly closed in 2004. Much like Becky's in Portland, Maine, Yoken's was a stop for many politicians, including Presidents Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, and both Bushes!

Jennifer Dubois of T.C. Photography took this photo of the sign that still marks the spot where the once-famous restaurant stood. It was refurbished, and has marked the Yoken's Common since 2015.

People love to reminisce about Yoken's Restaurant.

People have such a soft spot in their hearts for Yoken's, that there is even a Facebook group dedicated to all things Yoken's. Jennifer snapped up the Yoken's glasses at a going-away party for the now-closed restaurant.

If you want the sign, it's yours! Just head to Hidden Treasures where picker Chris Cameron is selling it. He thinks it's worth at least $1,200. He told SeacoastOnline,

Everybody who sees that sign always seems to have a story about that restaurant.

What's your memory of Yoken's? Was it on your way to Portland, Maine, to visit family? Share in the nostalgia.
