What Are the Chances School in Maine Will Be Cancelled Tomorrow?
It's all about the timing...
Are you ready to do the snow dance? It's no blizzard, but snow, freezing rain, and sleet are about the timing these days. The snow on Tuesday is sure to mess up tomorrow's morning commute. These days that's enough to get a snow day called, or at least a delay. The timing of the storm will give us all a tricky morning commute. The snow is coming Tuesday starting in York County and working north, with 3-6 inches predicted. That's cancellation territory.
How can I tell early if school will be canceled?
All you have to do is use the handy dandy...
SNOW DAY CALCULATOR
All you need is a couple of pieces of information: the zip code for the school, what kind of school is it (public/private), and how many snow days you've had this year.
It's like reading the future! And who wouldn't want to do that? Do you have traditions you do to ensure you get a snow day? Here are some that have worked in the past (and I don't know how, but they do work)!
- Put your snow boots by your bed (to tell the snow gods that you WILL be wearing them?)
- Put ice cubes in the toilets (no clue how this works)
- Put a spoon under your pillow (your guess is as good as mine)
Either way, be safe and enjoy!
