Maine Lobster Rolls

It goes without saying that once the calendar officially turns into Spring time (and when the weather in Northern New England eventually cooperates and acts like spring weather), the focus of Mainers and even people from away changes.

Gone are the plans of ski lodge weekends and shredding down mountains as much as possible, and in come thoughts of hiking, soon-to-come beach days, and of course, one of the things we're known for most:

Maine seafood.

And that especially starts becoming regular thoughts in our heads when seasonal seafood shacks start announcing their opening dates, like one of the more popular ones in Maine has just done.

Red's Eats Wiscasset, Maine

While there are countless spots all over New England to snag a lobster roll (some only during summer months while others serve them year round), there may not be a spot more well-known and anticipated than Red's Eats in Wiscasset.

Not a summer goes by where you don't drive along Main Street in Wiscasset and see a line wrapped around the block while people (mostly tourists and some locals) are forced to patiently wait to put those gigantic pieces of lobster meat hugged by a buttered roll to their face.
