New Sicilian-Inspired Restaurant Pomelia Opens in Brunswick, Maine
Maine sadly saw well over 30 restaurants close their doors in 2024.
And that included Brunswick, Maine, with several places closing such as Scarlett Begonias.
But there is a silver lining to the end of that nearly 30-year-old eatery: a new restaurant opening its doors.
Pomelia in Brunswick, Maine
In a November 2024 Facebook post, Tony and Chelsea Bickford revealed they became the owners of Scarlett Begonias and were transitioning things into a new chapter with a restaurant called Pomelia.
They said this will be a "warm, neighborhood spot with Sicilian-inspired dishes, cozy vibes, and a heart that remains rooted in the community."
In December, the restaurant shared a sneak peek on Facebook at the menu for the new Brunswick restaurant with foods like pasta alla norma, Sicilian pepperoni pizza, and Calabrian hot honey chicken.
