New England Weather

It doesn't take a genius to realize the weather in New England -- while typical, random, New England weather -- has been a bit wild lately. A snowstorm that brought up to a foot of snow to some areas, followed up by a storm that brought a mix of snow and rain with heavy winds that caused flooding and a bit of overall chaos in some areas, with more on the way.

It's just been a lot happening at once, lately. But that's also when some of the most amazing stories happen, too.

Pica's Grill and Pub

One of the most popular and talked about businesses -- especially on the Facebook group Merrimack Valley Eats -- is Pica's Grill and Pub in Methuen, Massachusetts.

Known for amazing eats, delicious drinks, and next-level customer service, Pica's always ends up getting a lot of love and positive reviews from everyone, whether regular customers or first-timers.

But it wasn't the amazing customer service that made the headline the other night, it was in fact one of the amazing customers and their heartfelt gesture.

Jobs for Teenagers

There are usually two avenues that are guaranteed to offer good job opportunities for teenagers coming into their own and looking to make their own money -- grocery store jobs, and restaurant jobs. Pica's just so happens to be one of those establishments that hires teens to work as servers.

In a recent post to the earlier mentioned Merrimack Valley Eats group, a woman named Mary-Ann Molino has a 16-year-old daughter who works at Pica's, and recently highlighted the stand-up gesture from one of her daughter's customers -- a woman named Sue.

Last night when she was leaving work, a woman gave my daughter her phone number and asked her to text her when she got home because of the snow.

In a world where you can be anything and like anyone -- be like Sue.
