Amazing Two Fat Cats Bakery Opens Second Portland, Maine Location

Two Fat Cats now has two fat stores in Portland, Maine.

After 15 years on the East End of Portland, Maine, Two Fat Cats moved to the West Bayside neighborhood. They love their new neighbors of specialty grocery stores and the beautiful Back Cove. They have the almighty important dedicated parking too. They are now opening at the old Mercy Hospital on Spring Street.

*SIDENOTE* This used to be Mercy Hospital's Emergency Entrance. The sidewalk is where News Center Maine's Lee Goldberg's wife Karen had their 8th child. They didn't quite make it inside. Read all about it.

When will the new Two Fat Cats open their second location in Portland, Maine?

According to Mainebiz, the new place to get goodies will be called Two Fat Cats West End and they are opening on Saturday, November 9. They are near Chocolats Passion, which makes handmade French chocolates. Two Fat Cats has been around since 2005 and opened in South Portland but closed that store in July.

The new West End place will have breakfast and lunch, with coffee and espresso. Of course, they will have the sweet yummies, but also sandwiches, salads, and some local specialty goodies. The owner of Two Fat Cats, Stacy Begin told Mainebiz,

We’re incredibly excited to extend our reach into this wonderful new neighborhood. Our goal with this new location is to create a welcoming space where people can gather, enjoy high-quality food, and explore unique products. It’s a dream come true to bring our passion for good food and community to this new area.

The new Portland, Maine Two Fat Cats West End will have a 'Punch Club'

I love a punch card, especially at places I go to a lot! This Two Fat Cats West End will have a pilot program. Right now as they slowly get off the ground, they will be doing just in-person orders. Don't worry, they'll be up and running online soon enough. Now there truly are Two Fat Cats!
