‘Extremely Rare’ Movie Rock Prop From Stephen King’s ‘It’ for Sale for a Whopping $1,200
If you are a big fan of the 2017 film adaptation of Stephen King's It, you might be interested in this item we found on eBay. You'd have to be a superfan of It if you want this though, because if you ask me, it looks like a potato.
The item is being sold by eBay user mr-jvoorhees, named after Jason Voorhees of the Friday the 13th film series. The item is supposedly from the movie It, and used in the rock fight scene with the Loser's Club.
Real rocks weren't used in the scene, of course, but the eBay user claims to have one of the fake rock props from It, and is selling it for $1100.
The listing describes the prop as being "In good 'screen used' condition," and that is is made of "some kind of light foam or rubber."
The real question is, does anyone really want this? It's a foam rock that looks like a potato, which you would never notice on screen. It comes with a certificate of authenticity, but even that is making this a hard sell.
The "rock" has been for sale on eBay since 2021, and no one has decided to plunk down the $1,100 for it. Stephen King can afford to spend that money on it, but I'm guessing he has all the props from his movies he'd ever need.
If you're interested, take your time. It's not going fast.
