Massachusetts Woman Wins Million Dollar Lottery Jackpot Twice

What are the odds?  A Massachusetts woman won a million dollars on a state lottery ticket. Then, just 10 weeks later, she won a million dollars again!

According to a press release from the Massachusetts Lottery, Christine Wilson of Attleborough won a million dollars on an instant ticket, and did it again while playing the "100x Cash" $10 instant ticket game.

For her first win, she took a one-time payment of $650,000 before the government took its share, estimated at $156,000. She bought herself a new SUV, which we can only assume was without having to finance it.

For her second million-dollar win, she said she plans to put those winnings into savings. Very smart idea.

This, of course, is making people wonder. If the odds of winning a million dollars in the lottery are against you, how difficult is it to win a million dollars twice?

Well, there are a lot of variables, including how many tickets you buy. But even buying hundreds and hundreds of tickets doesn't increase your chances of winning by much.
