Cozy Maine Town Named the No. 2 Best Christmas Town in America by HGTV
I love writing about Kennebunkport, Maine, during the winter season.
This town is literally referred to as Maine's "Hallmark" town, and its aesthetics absolutely live up to the hype.
According to kennebunkportresortcollection, it was named the second best Christmas town in Americam by HGTV. That's a big deal.
Seemingly Kennebunkport makes the top 10 in many cozy Christmas lists across the country every year so it's good to see them topping the charts.
Every year my holiday tradition is to watch the Tree Lighting in Dock Square. It also marked the beginning of their 10 day Christmas Prelude celebration that lasts until December 15, 2024. If you've never made the trip to a prelude in this city, consider this your sign.
Nobody takes life too seriously for the month of December, and you'll find parties of grown adults running around with blinking headbands and Santa suits in every bar you enter.
An infamous restaurant known for its "over the top" Christmas decor year after year is Batson River which has 4 locations throughout Maine; Biddeford, Portland, Kennebunk, and Wells.
I may be biased, but in my opinion, the one here in K-bunk is the best location to catch an espresso martini before you go romp around the town for more holiday activities. Actually, you'll find an espresso martini bar way up the corner on the second floor if you look hard enough (but you didn't hear that from me). P.S. Tip your bartenders.
