Here’s How to Make a Difference for Those Fighting Breast Cancer in Maine
It's easier than you think, and won't put a big dent in your holiday spending money.
There's a way to help your neighbors, friends, and family if anyone has a breast cancer diagnosis. It is a terrible diagnosis, and has a ripple effect. It obviously affects the person who now has to fight for their life and beat a breast cancer diagnosis, but everyone who knows and loves that person is in that fight, too.
I can help with my returnables?
It's as easy as grabbing that bag of returnables from your basement and bringing it to the Maine Mall starting Wednesday, October 18 through Friday, October 20 around 10 a.m. It's the world's largest bottle drive. We take those bottles and cans, and turn that into money for the Maine Cancer Foundation through Clynk.
But I can't make it to the Maine Mall... how can I still help?
Great question, and there are a ton of options!
- If you have a Clynk account, you can choose Cans for a Cure and donate part or all of the money in your account.
- Make a donation right now online to Cans for a Cure. That secure donation goes directly to the Maine Cancer Foundation.
- Call the Cans for a Cure hotline starting Wednesday, 10/18 through Friday 10/20/23 at 10 am. 207-800-3990! Operators are standing by.
- Donate with a QR Code. Easy and located at many of your area businesses supporting this effort!
No matter how you decide to help, it's all appreciated. It's a passion project to help Mainers fight a breast cancer diagnosis. The Maine Cancer Foundation's work touches all 16 counties of this beautiful state. We just want to make it easier for them to do the amazing work they do every day.
