When it gets hot out in Maine, there are many different ways to get cool quickly. You can jump in the pool, take a swim in the lake, go inside and sit in the air conditioning, run through the sprinkler, move to Alaska, or call the local fire department.

When I first saw this video, I wasn't sure who had posted it but I remember thinking to myself, 'this absolutely has to be from Maine', and of course, as usual, I was right. While I was surfing through my feed over the weekend I came across a video that appeared to be a firetruck hosing down a massive group of kids in a field.

Lo and behold, that's exactly what it was. According to the Norway, Maine Fire Department Facebook page, they brought one of their tanker trucks to Rowe Field on Friday afternoon to help cool down a group of kids in the warm June heat.

The high temperature in Norway, Maine on Friday was about 80 degrees and the refreshingly cool water was a welcomed surprise. We're not exactly sure what was going on, however, it appears to possibly be a large group of elementary school kids enjoying the midday rinse-off.

Staff with the Norway Fire Department can be seen spraying large amounts of water into the sky as it rained down on the group of very excited kiddos. In the comments section some people that live near Rowe Field report hearing the screams of excitement from their front porch.

And it wasn't just a little water, either. The fire department stayed and sprayed until all of the water was completely out of the tank. Definitely a 'cool' way to stay cool on a warm Maine day. Check out the videos below!
