If you've ever walked by the Whiskey Kitchen in Augusta and caught a whiff of something sweet, chances are it came from The Perfect Circle Cheesecakery.

But those whiffs will be gone now, because this local bakery is closing.  

They have quietly closed their doors on Water Street. The sign is gone and the Perfect Circle is no more. It was run by three sister with a passion for cheesecake. Their motto was, "CHEESECAKE IS LIFE".

They didn’t just make cheesecake, they lived it, so this news is hard to swallow for us all.  

Augusta's Sweet Spot Says Goodbye

The company made a public statement on Facebook recently partly saying the following,

"It is what heavy hearts that we announce that due to our growing families, (and one very pregnant baker) we have decided to shut down operations."

Many commentors are expressing their gratitude, love and are sad to see them go.

The Augusta community is sad to see this sweet little business close but wonder what’s in store for the current location. Hopefully, they continue to make these incredible cheesecakes and we still get to enjoy it.

In the meantime, let’s raise our forks to the delicious treats they brought to downtown Augusta!
