To all the hardworking bee's that need a power hour in the flower, I feel you girl.

Bees may have a secret and honestly, it is the most relatable thing I’ve ever heard in my whole entire life.

The trend that's hitting Instagram are photos of bee's napping faced down, butt up... in FLOWERS. And it's the most adorable thing to witness.

But is it true?

Are Bees really taking a power hour, in our Maine flowers?

Yes and no. According to honeybesuite, Melissodes male bees can curl up with their head buried in the petals of a thistle. But the images that we are all seeing, is there big old booties propped up, legs hanging, snoozing away.

And usually, it's the dude bees- go figure.

However, despite the trending belief that these beautiful bees sleep in blooms with their adorable fuzzy booties in the air, what you are seeing is likely them foraging their weight in pollen.

According to The Bees in Your Backyard, his opinion is that the bees are not napping saying, "I like bee butts and I can not lie. A lot of people share images of bees with their head down in a flower claiming the bee is sleeping in that flower because it got tired. In fact, the bee is probably drinking nectar at the base of the flower, in this video I’m explaining how that works."

Here's another funny fact, unlike us humans, Bees do not have eyelids, so when they sleep, they don't close their eyes.

They just sort of go into this zone. So how can you tell they are sleeping? Body language, at least that's what the experts say, according to Vegasbees.

So, the next time you see a Bee, face down, hiney up, he's probably just eating lunch. But, please take a picture and send it to us.
