Even though we have been lucky enough to have only rain for the ride to your Thanksgiving destination (assuming you travel on Wednesday), it looks like the ride home on Sunday could be quite a bit nastier.

Yes, we had some rain on Tuesday night and Wednesday, and it looks like Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday are going to feature nice weather, it does appear that we are going to be dealing with a snowy/rainy mess on Sunday.

According to Weather.com, there is a good chance that much of Maine will see rain during the day on Sunday.  And, as the temperatures cool, that could change over to snow or mixed precipitation.

In total, we could see the equivalent of half an inch of rain.

Nothing too crazy, but you may want to allow a little extra time to get back home on Sunday.  Yes, these conditions could lead to some slower travel on Sunday afternoon and evening.

Fortunately, we have escaped the really nasty weather that other parts of the country are dealing with this week.

Obviously, as we learn more, we'll keep you updated.

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend and please be safe on the roads.
