Miles For Mills 5K Announces Return to Augusta, Maine
For well over a decade, the Miles For Mills 5K has brought together thousands of people from all walks of life to raise money for our veterans.
The event, a 5K walk/run, is a major fundraiser for the Travis Mills Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing programs and support for recalibrated servicemembers and their families. Those helped include people who are coping with the invisible wounds of war. The Foundation’s retreat in Maine offers adaptive, family-focused programming designed to help veterans thrive after service.
For the last few years the event has been held at Brunswick Landing, the former Brunswick Naval Air Station. While it had been held on Memorial Day Monday when it was in Augusta, it was held on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend when it was moved to Brunswick.
Now, it looks like the Miles For Mills 5K will be returning to its roots.
According to a press release from the Travis Mills Foundation, this year's event will take place in Downtown Augusta on Monday, May 25th. The event will kickoff at 9 AM.
The press release explains, in part:
The event continues to grow each year, bringing together thousands of participants and supporters while raising critical funds to further the Foundation’s mission. The 2026 event aims to build on that momentum with a fundraising goal of $200,000 to support programs serving veterans and their families.
The event is intended to be a fun time for people of all ages and abilities. For more information and to register, visit the Miles For Mills website.
