For the most part, we have had a really nice spring.

Sure, we have had our fair share of cooler temperatures and rain, but we have also had a number of summer-like days that were perfect for hanging out on the beach or taking a ride of your motorcycle.

Actually, we have been blessed with really nice weather for about the last week.  Mostly sunny days and temperatures in the upper 70s or lower 80s.

It looks like that may be about to change, though.

According to an article on the WMTW website, parts of Maine could see severe weather on Thursday.

A strong and unusual June storm is expected to move through Maine on Thursday, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and the chance for severe thunderstorms.

Southern, western, and central Maine will be the areas most-likely to get hit by this nasty weather.  Forecasters say rainfall totals could reach 3 to 4 inches in some spots, raising the risk of flash flooding, especially in western Maine where the ground is already saturated.

The heaviest rain is expected in the morning and early afternoon.

By later in the day, warmer air could fuel strong to severe storms with damaging winds and the possibility of isolated rotating storms.
