The original 'Home Alone' was one of the most iconic movies of the 1990s.

Some would even say it was one of the most iconic movies of the 20th century, but we kind of think that is going a little far.

The movie tells the story of a boy named Kevin who, in their haste to get to the airport in time for their flight to Paris, is left behind by his family.  Even though Kevin quickly adapts to being on his own, even shaving and making a trip to the grocery store, a couple of bumbling thieves make his adventure a little more challenging.

The Wet Bandits, who got their name because they flood the homes they rob, attempt to rob Kevin's house.  However, they were not counting on the fact that Kevin had set a series of traps for them.

Macaulay Culkin

The movie was the first big role for a young actor named Macaulay Culkin.  A few years later, he starred in the sequel, 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York'.  Many thought this was going to be the starting point to a long career.  Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Culkin continued to act throughout the 90s and early 00s, but never had another major hit.

Culkin is currently married to former Disney actress Brenda Song.  The couple have two children.

The 'Home Alone' Tour
