Under the Radar Maine Attraction Named One of the Best Free Attractions in the Country
Whether you have lived in Maine your entire life, or you have only visited our great state for a few days, you can probably name at least a few of Maine's most popular tourist attractions.
Acadia National Park, Funtown USA, Baxter State Park, and Portland's Old Port, to name just a few. Of course, the real gems are the attractions that are completely free.
Recently, one of the less well known Maine tourist attractions was named one of the best free attractions in the United States.
CashNetUSA recently put out their list of the best free things to do in each state. In Maine, they chose Ogunquit's Marginal Way.
Their press release describes Marginal Way as:
Marginal Way is a 1.25-mile-long cliff walk from Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort to Perkins Cove. The mostly paved route features plenty of sitting places to catch your breath and watch the lobster boats, but with plenty of chances to explore the beachland and rocky coves, too.
Not only was it named the best free thing to do in Maine, it was named one of the best free things to do in the nation. It came in 10th place on the top 10 list.
