It’s National Eating Disorders Awareness Week – Here’s What You Need To Know

At Sweetser’s NEED Program, the healing begins with a sensitive and holistic eating disorder treatment assessment from a dedicated eating disorder therapist, as well as a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Because the causes of eating disorders can be so complex and interconnected, Sweetser NEED eating disorder clinic evaluates every patient’s medical, psychological, social and spiritual needs and works closely with patients and their families to craft a customized eating disorder treatment plan.

According to nationaleatingdisorders.org, eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses that can affect people of every age, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic group. National surveys estimate that 20 million women and 10 million men in America will have an eating disorder at some point in their lives.
