I Was Excited to Hear This at the Gorham, New Hampshire, House of Pizza
My girlfriend Michele and I decided to take a day trip to Vermont on Saturday and stopped for dinner on the way home at the Gorham, House of Pizza in New Hampshire, not to be confused with the Gorham House of Pizza in Maine, but they are both very good.
We drove from Windham over to Island Pond, Vermont. I'm a railroad geek and have always wanted to follow the rail line of St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad from Danville Junction in Auburn to the rail yard in Island Pond. The tracks crossed the street I grew up on in South Paris, Maine and I would always run to the window as a kid to see it. To this day, I think I'm the only one who enjoys waiting for a train to go by.
On the way back we placed an order at the Gorham, NH House of Pizza and sat down to wait for it and I noticed they were playing 94.9 HOM in the restaurant. That was cool that they were listening to us. I even heard Lori and me on one of our promos for Tuesday's show.
They also had a TV on and what did I see pop up during Wheel of Fortune? Our ad for our move to 94.9 HOM.
That was a little awkward having all that happen within five minutes.
Big thanks to Gorham House of Pizza for playing us in your restaurant. The pizza was excellent too! That's mine on the left. Pepperoni. That's Michele's on the right. Pepperoni and jalapenos with no cheese. That's right. No cheese. That's a story for another time.
