A Homeless Maine Woman & Her Dogs Need Your Help
Zanetta, a Gorham woman who is disabled, and her Dalmatians are currently staying in a hotel; but funds are almost gone, which means they'll have to return to living in a car. We were told Zanetta lost her job due to health reasons, and then, she couldn't afford her apartment. She and her dogs were living in her car for some time, before a high school friend raised some money for her to stay in a hotel. Now, she needs more to keep her and the Dalmatians in a room with a bed and bathroom. The dogs' names are Callie and Buttons. They are Zanetta's family and she doesn't want to give them up.
Just a note about the Dalmatians from Hope Staples-Chancey, the friend mentioned above: They are being provided for with food from a nonprofit organization called "No Bowl Empty" Pet Food Pantry. They offer dog and cat food, treats, toys, cat litter and puppy pads free for those in need.
