As a lifelong die-hard Red Sox fan, I am so happy that my team is bringing home yet another World Series trophy...their fourth in just fourteen years. Which is pretty great if you think about it, considering their 86 year drought prior to 2004. But as excited as I get when the Sox win it all, I'm normally not one to stand in line in the wee hours of the morning the next day to be one of the first to get my hands on the merchandise the next day. However, I really lucked out this year. My girlfriend Kathleen, who is a reporter at Channel 8 WMTW, happened to be doing a live shot outside of Dick's Sporting Goods in South Portland yesterday, to give us a look at all of the people who were waiting in line.

Much to my surprise, Kathleen picked up a shirt for me while she was there! How cool is that? Not only did my favorite team just win the World Series, but also I have a sweet, thoughtful, and caring girlfriend that does stuff like this for me all the time. Life is good. Thank you Kathleen!
