Here’s The Latest On The Popular Old Hallowell Day
One of the things we do really well here in Maine is put on a festival. If you think about it, most of our summers (and part of every other season) are taken up by festivals. While most of our festivals are about food (The Maine Lobster Festival and the Yarmouth Clam Festival, to name a few), others are about our culture. Some are even just an excuse to drink beer and listen to music.
Without a doubt, one of the best festivals in Maine is Old Hallowell Day!
The event, which always takes place on a Saturday in July, highlights what an awesome small city Hallowell, Maine is. Each year, there is a parade, live music, food, a 5K, and an epic fireworks display shot off over the Kennebec River.
This year's festival has been scheduled for July 15th, 2023.
We have not gotten a specific schedule... yet! But, if it is anything like years past, we can expect it to be a Saturday FILLED with fun for the entire family - and some adult events, too.
Currently, they are looking for vendors for the day of the festival. Get all the details HERE
Also, follow them on Facebook for the latest updates
We look forward to seeing you in the event's big parade! Check out this video of the Old Hallowell Day parade from a few years ago.
