The one person you won't see on a beach in Seabrook, New Hampshire this summer is a lifeguard. That's because residents voted against a plan to pay for them, according to WMUR.

Instead of lifeguards, the town of Seabrook has posted 19 signs along the beach, like the one below, warning swimmers about dangerous rip currents. WMUR says town officials are hoping to prevent another tragedy like what happened last summer, when a couple from Massachusetts died after getting caught in a rip current,.
