With Valentine's Day just four days away, we'll have yet another reason to indulge in our favorite sweet and sugary treats. But just what are our favorite Valentine's candies, specifically here in New England?

The website CandyStore.com set out to show us just that. They analyzed their own bulk candy sales from the past twelve years, as well as data from their industry partners, to show us exactly which Valentine's candy is the most popular in each state. The results are in, and here are each of the six New England states' favorite Valentine's candies:

Maine: Chocolate Hearts

New Hampshire: Heart-Shaped Box of Chocolates

Vermont: Conversation Hearts

Massachusetts: Heart-Shaped Box of Chocolates

Connecticut: Heart-Shaped Box of Chocolates

Rhode Island: Chocolate Hearts

Should I be embarrassed about the fact that I don't believe I've actually ever had Chocolate Hearts? Sounds pretty generic to me. Although I will say that I love a nice hear-shaped box of chocolates, and I think they make for a great Valentine's gift.

Also, what's up with Vermont's choice of conversation hearts? I mean yeah, they were ok when I was a kid...but why would I ever want to eat those as an adult? I guess I'm just not really into eating chalk. But to each their own, right?
