One morning recently on the HOM Morning Show as Nikki and I were playing "The Maine Christmas Song," we wondered if New Hampshire had its own Christmas song.

We had several listeners call in and tell us about a song called "Christmastime In The Granite State." I had never heard of it before, but after a little research, we quickly found the song our listeners were talking about.

It was recorded by The Fat City Band, a Swing, Jump Blues, New Orleans style R&B group out of Boston. I reached out to them via their Facebook page. They said they would gladly send me a copy so that we could play it on the air.

I love all of the New Hampshire references in this song... with shoutouts to Dixville Notch, Winnipesaukee, and the Kangamangus They also mention no sales tax. I also like the fact that it's uptempo, and quite catchy.

Listen to the song below and tell us what you think!
