Guess Which New England State Made The Top 20 ‘Fattest States In The U.S.’ List?
The personal-finance website WalletHub released a list of the chubbiest states in America, and a New England state is in the top 20. Which state do you think it is?
If you guessed Maine, you are correct. Vacationland is number 19 on the list. WalletHub reports that the U.S. spends approximately $200 billion in annual health care costs related to obesity, and more than seven in ten U.S. adults between the ages of 20 and older are either overweight or obese. That's bad news for the Pine State.
WalletHub's researchers looked at 25 key factors such as the highest percentage of overweight and obese children and adults, physical activity, high cholesterol and high blood pressure and other determinants to create this list
In case you are wondering, Mississippi is the fattest state in America, followed by West Virginia and Arkansas.
