Picking my own blueberries is one of those precious New England activities I've always wanted to try but never have! My friend and local country artist, April Cushman, took her family to Monadnock Berries over the weekend. She posted some photos of their adventures and I couldn't believe the size of the blueberries they picked!

Monadnock Berries is out of a family farm in Troy, New Hampshire. According to their website they have been around since 1995. They opened this past Sunday and are ready for a berry good season! (see what I did there?) They have changed their picking system to minimize contact with berries and reduce lines. You will now be asked to pay for your berries before you pick them, a "Pay then Pick" system if you will.

If you have never been, they have way more than blueberries! Strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, red currants,  and black currants are available for purchase as well.

They are offering full access to the plantation and their refreshments in the stand. In the stand they have pre-picked berries and pies for sale. Remember to wear your mask if you want to enter the stand!

Monadnock Berries wants to thank you for adapting and continuing to support them during these difficult times. They will now be open daily from 8 am to 5 pm until mid September.
