WATCH: Exeter Man Allegedly Involved In Hit And Run Was Tracked Down Because Of ‘Unique’ License Plate
A 61-year-old man from Exeter, New Hampshire struck a construction zone worker with his car on purpose last week, according to WMUR. Then, instead of stopping to see if the flagger was injured, he reportedly drove off.
WATCH!:
WMUR reports that Robert Frese refused to turn around at a road closure on Islington Street in Portsmouth, when he intentionally hit Fred Chase. Chase is said to have suffered minor knee and back injuries as a result of being hit by Frese's car.
It was easy for Chase to remember his license plate, because it was "TRUMP1." Police were easily able to track him down, and he turned himself in on Tuesday.
What's the moral of this story? If you have a vanity license plate and get in trouble, it's best for you to NOT leave the scene of a crime.
