Dish Network Subscribers Still Can’t Watch WMTW Through The Service
The local ABC affiliate has been off DISH since last week.
Last Friday, negotiations between Hearst Television owned WMTW and DISH Network came to a standstill. The two companies were unable to agree on terms, and as a result, DISH customers are unable to watch WMTW through the service.
This isn't the first time this has happened. As recently as January 1st, there was a similar situation with WMTW and DirecTV.
Despite this minor inconvenience, you can still watch WMTW, even if you're a DISH subscriber. Channel 8 streams all of their newscasts live at it's website, wmtw.com.
Also, you can buy an antenna. I have one that I bought a while ago for about 30 bucks at Best Buy. I use it to watch all of the networks, in HD, for FREE!
