
Dick Wolf Donates $10 Million to Bar Harbor Hospital’s Future
Get this, the legendary TV producer Dick Wolf, you know, the guy who created Law & Order and Chicago franchises, has pledged $10 million to Mount Desert Island Hospital towards their Building Our Future campaign, according to WMTW.
That folks, is the largest individual gift in the hospitals history, like ever.
The $55 million campaign is centered around transforming the hospitals entire campus in Bar Harbor, according to the article.
They also want to triple the size of the emergency department, create a new Main Street entrance, modernize the surgical units, and add a more flexible space.
Chris Maguire, the President and CEO of MDI Hospital says,
“This gift not only advances our vision for a modern, patient-centered campus, it inspires others to join us in building a healthier future for our island community.”
