I wasn't planning on writing about an ice cream float this week, and yet, here we are.

Because, listen, Dairy Joy in Lewiston and Auburn is an institution, a tradition, and a sure sign of summer. A place you scream at your parents to pull over after school to get a scoop or three.

They just introduced Alani Nu floats for the summer, and after trying one, I can confidently say it was one of the best things I've put in my mouth all year.

Yes, that's a bold statement. And no ma'am, I'm not taking it back.

Dairy Joy Just Created the Ultimate Summer Float for Alani Nu Fans

If you've spent any amount of time on TikTok, Instagram, you've probably heard of Alani Nu.

The energy drink brand has become a huge cultural phenomenon, with people obsessing over flavors the same way my generation obsessed over Dunkaroos. Remember Dunkaroos? So good.

The combo somehow works even better than it sounds.

Alani Nu is blowing up and you get the fizzy sweetness of the drink mixed with the cold, creamy soft serve. This creates something that tastes refreshingly like summer.

It's the kind of treat that makes you immediately text your best friend, Katie and say, "Katie, you need to try this."

What I love most is that it's such a perfect mix of old school Maine ice cream stand culture and one of the trendiest drinks in America right now.

Will everyone love it? Maybe not. But, this girl does... and so does her best friend, Katie. Because in the time you took to read this, she tried it and she's on board.

Will I absolutely be ordering another one before summer ends? Without question.
