New Hampshire has lost one of it's most unique icons of the White Mountains. William Farrand, 60, who played the "Wolfman" character at Clark's Trading Post for fourteen years, died on Monday at the age of 60.

I remember visiting Clark's several times, as both a kid and adult, bringing my own children. My favorite part of the visit was always the train ride into the woods. We'd be yelled at by the crazy "Wolfman" who lived in the woods, screaming at us to get off his property.

Anyone who has visited the White Mountains and stopped into Clark's surely remembers the Wolfman.

According to his obituary at fournier-hale.com, he is survived by several brothers, sisters, neices, and nephews.
