It's not very often that we come across a Maine critter that looks like a cuddly ferret out in the wild. At least, I've never seen one.

Yeah, this little weasel sure does appear friendly enough. But I don't think it would be a good idea to get too close. I hear they can be mighty vicious.

These incredible shots were posted on Facebook earlier this week by Andrew F. March.

According to the post, the pictures were taken at East Shirley Bog in Upper Shirley Corner, Maine. The creature is identified by Andrew as a Pine Marten.
