I'll lay this right on the line here. I'm not a fan of cats. However, that does not mean that I can't appreciate and even laugh out loud at some of the things that cats do. You've probably seen plenty of videos featuring cats who look like they're trying to get on an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos.

This is my favorite cat video of all time and I laugh every single time.

If you love cat videos and you'd love to help the Greater Portland Animal Refuge League do the good work they do, then this is the event for you.

CatVideoFest will be shown at the Portland Museum of Art in the Bernard Osher Foundation Auditorium. According to the listing on the Portland Museum of Arts websiteCatVideoFest is "a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and classic internet powerhouses.

75 minutes of cats being cats. Sounds fun right? Oh, you'd like to see a trailer huh?

This video is being shown all across the country to benefit local animal shelters. Here in Portland, 10% of all ticket sales will go to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland.

CatVideoFest runs from August 4 to August 6 with three showings a day at Noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at PortlandMuseum.org. Tickets will run you Just $9 or $7 if you're a member or a student.

If you love cats, this might be one of those things you'll want to call out of work sick for. Don't tell anyone I said that though. I'll deny it.
