Tradition runs deep in the heart of New England and one runner is turning every single mile into a message of love and hope.

Matt Forcier is his name, a proud Mainer from Biddeford who is lacing up for the Boston Marathon, but with a purpose, according to WMTW.

This mission if far greater than just hitting the finish line, which is hard enough as it is.

Matt is clearly driven by compassion for his community because he’s raising funds for One Mission.

One Mission is a nonprofit helping support, bring joy and comfort to children who are bravely battling cancer.

Just think of this, simple moments that give these kids laughter, creativity, and the celebration of marking the end of their treatment. These are more than just activities, they are lifelines of light during some of life’s hardest and darkest days.

That’s the mission Matt is running for.

The Boston Marathon is no simple feat, it is 26.2 miles long. Matt is training with determination but reminds us all that his challenge to run the marathon is nothing compared to what these kids have to go through .

Watch the video below via WMTW-TV YouTube and you'll see Matt's determination first hand.

To date, according to the report, he has already raised over $16,000 in hopes to help countless children.

Now, you have the chance to be part of something meaningful. Help turn miles into miracles. Support Matt’s run. Support their fight.
