I know it's only January, but it's already time to start thinking about this summer. Specifically, the 23rd annual Beach To Beacon 10k road race! This year, the race takes place on August 1st. I know that sound like a long time away, but here's why you should start thinking about it now - they just announced the dates for online registration. For Cape Elizabeth residents, it's Wednesday, March 11th. Thursday, March 12th is the date for everyone else. Both days, it starts at 7:00am.

Registrations will go fast. I've been lucky enough to get one for the past few years, but they're usually all gone in 10 to 20 minutes. With so many people logging on at the same time, the site will probably be a little slow. So here's what I recommend - have your phone, your computer, your tablet, and whatever other device you have with a web browser, ready to go at 7 am the day of registration. If the page is slow or freezes up on one, try it on another. The more backups you have, the better your chances.

It's Maine's biggest road race of the year, and people from all over the world compete. It's an incredible feeling to be a part of it. So if you're after a registration, good luck!

Oh, one more thing...you'll need this - the link! www.Beach2Beacon.org
