I was born in Melrose, Massachusetts. grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire, and graduated college from Saint Joseph’s in Maine. In February 2005, I began my stint on WCYY and am currently one of the station's longest-running DJs. I'm the host of WCYY's new music / local music show, "Spinout." I created the 6-day radiothon “Markathon” in 2008 to support the Center for Grieving Children. I was VP Marketing & Promotions for an independent record label in NJ 1997-2002. I've written music columns for newspapers and magazines and hosted a short run music video show on cable in Boston. I started a record label in 2004, managed music artists and have created/promoted countless music events in Maine. I listen to & collect a lot of music, am a big fan of the Boston Celtics, crushed ice, Arnold Palmer’s, Brigham's Coffee Ice Cream, Jack Lemmon, biographies, hats, Nacho Libre, Galaga, Fiji Water, Bull Moose, record stores, Friendly’s, Robert Klein, Kacey Musgraves, hot tea, toast, collecting movies, Paul Newman, The Blues Brothers and The Beatles. I own three 8-track players, stopped wearing white socks in 1997, own a monster music book collection and was given the key to City of Portland, Maine, in 2012. Also, December 3rd, 2012 was officially named "Mark Curdo Day" in state of Maine (seriously). I hope someday to meet Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Ringo, Rodney Bingenheimer, Steve Martin, Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Owen Wilson, Smokey Robinson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Hall or Oates and anyone from Van Halen or Toto. I am currently the General Manger of AURA in Portland. "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken".
