Augusta, Maine, Got More Delicious with the Opening of This New Gourmet Bagel Shop
There's just something about the delicious taste of a fresh bagel, and when you find a spot that delivers, you can't help but keep going back for more.
Of course, there's a ton of great bagel places in the Pine Tree State. Food & Wine even listed three Maine spots on its 2021 list of top bagel shops in the United States: Forage in Portland and Lewiston, Scratch Baking Company in South Portland, and Rover Bagel in Biddeford.
But the bagel love doesn't stop there as a new gourmet bagel shop recently opened in Augusta.
Sand Hill Bagel, located at 10 Canal Street, had its ribbon-cutting ceremony in June, per a Facebook post from Kennebec Valley Chamber. That same FB post touted the bagel shop would be offering up "fresh bagels, bakery items, soups, salads, sandwiches and coffee."
Check out some of the fresh-looking mini bagels Sand Hill posted on its Facebook page:
Or this weekend special one that was a strawberry cookie-topped bagel:
The place is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. if you're feeling up for a sandwich, soup, muffin, and as the name implies, a bagel.
Oh, and by the way, there's another bagel place coming to Augusta called Sunrise Bagel. So know you've got one more bagel place to check out. You can never have enough good bagel places to hit up, right?
