For more than a month, fans of the Netflix series "Stranger Things" have been flocking to an old Navy shipyard in New York City for a chance to transport themselves from the Big Apple to the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. New York City is the first to get 'Stranger Things: The Experience', an immersive adventure that feels partly like a ride at Universal Studios and another part like a high-end escape room. While New York City was the first American destination chosen, it won't be the last.

It Appears 'Stranger Things: The Experience' is Coming to Boston

On June 1st, Fever, the company co-presenting these events with Netflix, launched a website promising more information on the Boston dates and locations for 'Stranger Things: The Experience'. Currently, they're asking fans to sign up for their waitlist to be the first to get additional info. Fever opened their second 'Stranger Things: The Experience" in San Francisco on June 4. It's lead many to believe that the other major cities listed on their website, Boston and Chicago, could be the next to receive the exhibit.

What Does 'Stranger Things: The Experience' Include?

The experience starts like a classic theme park ride where guests are immediately thrust into the action. The storyline is that Hawkins Lab invites guests to participate in a brand new study where they will be the test subjects. Unfortunately for guests, the test involves a trip to the Upside Down. Special effects, 3D immersion, and a few familiar faces like Eleven make the one hour journey memorable.

'Stranger Things: The Experience' Also Includes a 'Mix-Tape'

Beyond your trip to the Hawkins Lab, there's a few other memorable places from 'Stranger Things' that you'll be able to explore. That includes Scoops Ahoy, Family Video, and the incredible Palace Arcade, filled with some seriously nostalgic games. There will also be some themed food and drink and a choice to sit in the Byers family living room, if you dare.
