Dear Maren,

I couldn't let you come to New Hampshire to perform tomorrow night in Gilford at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion without saying this to you first. I swear I never meant it in an actual attacking or bullying way -- just all in good fun since it happens to the best of us sometimes. But I'm not in the business of legitimately tearing someone down at the expense of being the funny guy or to make myself feel better.

But if it makes you feel better, karma came back at me in the form of Kip Moore. Let me fill you in.

We've all taken a picture like the one above before. The one where we're either sick of smiling because it takes too long for the picture to actually be taken so we lose our smile a little bit. Or the picture where we aren't even fully ready for the smile because we don't even know when the picture is being taken. Or just that bad luck picture where you think you're smiling wider than you are.

We're all guilty of it. And we're all guilty of experiencing that multiple times. And maybe it's truly the fault of the photogs for even posting those types of pictures, because for whatever bad luck reason, there have been a good few times where they capture pictures of that type of smile on you.

I try to keep things goofy and light-hearted during my radio shows since there's so much...well, absolute crap in the world. That usually involves trying to drop one-liners that I hope land and are funny (while fully understanding I probably just sound like a moron.) And in one of those one-liners over the years, I've mentioned after certain pictures taken like the ones above, that...well...that it looks like you may have come across some bad cheese earlier in the day.

But let me make it clear, I 100% respect the fact that after years of having someone stick a camera in your face on a red carpet or just in every day life, you're probably sick of having to put the bestest, widest, brightest smile on your face. It's exhausting to always have to be "on" -- I like to think I understand that, hence the tongue-in-cheek joke.

And if that has offended you at all, I'm truly sorry. But if it's any consolation, like I mentioned, karma came in the form of Kip Moore. Because recently, Kip came to the area to visit and we were able to take pictures with him. And, well...this was mine with him.

So, if it looks like anybody ate some bad cheese (and needs to lay off the extra cheese, goofy little deer-in-headlights man), it's this guy.
