Rochester's Kyle Tanguay impressed the "American Idol" judges and got a golden ticket, according to the talent show's official YouTube channel. The 21-year-old is from Rochester, New Hampshire. Tanguay is not only a singer, but also one of the first male cheerleaders for the Philadelphia Eagles. Thus, he was able to bring some of his fella cheerleaders with him, and may be the first person to audition with his very own pep squad. As you can imagine, the judges, particularly Katy Perry, loved Tanguay's enthusiasm. Tanguay also confessed that he is a huge fan of Perry.

Tanguay sang Shawn Mendes' "Mercy." Then, Perry asked him to sing it again in a higher key. The second performance won the judges over… They gave him three yeses for Hollywood.
