We've seen several studies that show that New Hampshire is one of the safest states in the country. But did you know that a city in New Hampshire ranks as one of the safest in the country?

The website WalletHub recently did a study to determine the safest cities in the United States. They took into account several metrics, including assaults per capita, unemployment rate, and road quality.

Nashua, New Hampshire ranked number eight in this new study, making it one of three New England cities to make the top ten of this list.

The other New England cities in the top ten are South Burlington, Vermont, coming in at number five, and Warwick, Rhode Island, ranking number ten.

A couple of Maine cities had a pretty strong showing in this study as well. Lewiston came in at number nineteen, while Portland ranked number thirty one.
