A Breathtaking View of Portland – the Top of the East

Not many other places in the city offer this great of a view.

The first time I had dinner at Top of the East was several years before I actually moved to Portland. I was here for a weekend visit, and a friend gave me a list of must see spots. Top of the East was on the list.

The view of the city from this restaurant is spectacular. It's one of the most Instagramable spots in Portland, as shown in the photos below. According to their website, it has been the center of nightlife in Portland since 1963, and played host to many memorable events for generations of patrons.
