Animal cruelty is something we see all too often in the news. But leaving your animals outside in sub-zero degree temperatures is another level of neglect.

According to WMUR, 22 German Shepherds were found in an unheated shed in Alexandria, New Hampshire. It was -11 degrees and the water that was in their bowls had been frozen for hours.

Any animal lover is filled with anger and sadness after hearing this story. I wish something could be done to ensure that people who aren't suitable caretakers for their pets aren't allowed to own them in the first place.

These dogs were rescued in the nick of time. The owner is being charged with animal cruelty and the dogs are reportedly in good spirits. They are currently being cared for by the NH SPCA.
